Yamaha MT-07 (2014-2021) — Maintenance Specs

The MT-07 (sold as the FZ-07 in the US until 2017) is Yamaha's 689 cc CP2 crossplane-twin naked bike, unchanged in its service data across 2014-2021 apart from styling, suspension tweaks and the EU's 2021 Euro 5 detune. Its light weight and simple maintenance made it a workshop favorite: 2.6 L of oil with the filter, one NGK LMAR8A-9 plug per cylinder at 0.8-0.9 mm, 1.6 L of coolant plus a 0.25 L reservoir and a single H4 headlight bulb through most of the run. Yamaha's chart schedules oil every 4,000 miles/6 months, plugs every 12,000 miles, valve checks at 42,000 km and DOT 4 fluid every two years.
