The CBR500R is the fully-faired sportbike member of Honda's 471 cc twin family, launched alongside the CB500F in 2013 and restyled in 2016 and 2019 without changes to the service data. It uses the same wet-sump engine, six-speed gearbox and 520 O-ring chain as its siblings, which keeps maintenance simple: 2.7 L of 10W-30 oil with a filter change, DOT 4 brake fluid, and NGK CPR8EA-9 plugs gapped at 0.8-0.9 mm.
