Harley-Davidson Iron 883 (2010-2021) — Maintenance Specs

The Iron 883 (XL883N) arrived in 2010 as the blacked-out dark-custom Sportster, and its formula stayed fixed through 2021: 883 cc Evolution engine, mid controls, 12.5 L peanut tank and the blacked-out air-cooker look that made it H-D's best-selling gateway bike. The 2015 and 2020 owner's manuals show identical service data - 2.6 L of oil with the filter, 0.95 L transmission fill, 6R12 plugs and 30/40 psi tire pressures on its 19-inch front wheel. Maintenance follows the standard Sportster grid: oil at 1,000 and every 5,000 miles, plugs every 30,000 miles or two years, DOT 4 brake fluid every two years. European sales ended in 2018 with the Euro 4 deadline.
