Yamaha FJR1300 (2006-2020) — Maintenance Specs

The FJR1300 is Yamaha's shaft-drive 1,298 cc sport-touring flagship. The 2006-2012 generation (2011 A-model manual) and the 2013-2020 redesign with electronic suspension and six-axis IMU ABS (2017 ES manual) kept identical oil, coolant and final-drive figures - a rare model where 15 years of production share one service sheet: 4.0 L of oil with the filter, 2.6 L of coolant, a 0.2 L shaft gear case, 25 L fuel tank and DOT 4 fluid. Changes worth noting: the plug moved from CR8E to CPR8EA-9 in 2013, the headlight went LED for 2017, and the 2006-2012 front tire ran an unusual 39 psi. Yamaha schedules coolant every 24 months, tighter than most brands.
